Layers of Newness: mariaurora (Maria Creyts)

mariaurora IN STUDIO AT LEEDY-VOULKOS
Maria Creyts/mariaurora is on site during gallery hours at the Leedy-Voulkos Art Center through the duration of her “neoPanos” exhibition. Boll. In a companion exhibition of the same title at the Leedy-Voulkos Art Center, artists respond to the age-old challenge of being female (and often also a mother) and being an artist.
(ARTKC365) A Good Day for Frieze-ing: mariaurora Open Studio at the Livestock Exchange Building
Creyts describes the effect as “sumptuous”, and she’s right. Thanks to the use of a special high-definition lens, a viewer could put out a hand to touch the frieze and almost expect to feel something soft.
