Looking at the sheer variety of materials that went into Andrus’ work, it quickly becomes apparent that each finished piece has passed through a lot of hands. The list for “Circus Time” alone includes Double Bubble Gum wrappers, paint, fringe, trinkets, balloons, ribbon, an umbrella, a wooden chair, a child’s pull toy, a table, a metal plate, and a toy bird.
