October 22, 7 p.m. Beyond Bounds: BRILLIANT! This annual benefit for The Nerman Museum of Contemporary Art is also a celebration of artists' contributions to our lives. "For our ninth event, we are inviting artists regionally, nationally and internationally to donate a work of art utilizing unique mediums provided by the museum. This year, we sought a word which best exemplifies artists — their talent, their innovation and their extraordinary contributions to our lives. We chose BRILLIANT! And, the color yellow was selected to symbolize brilliance. Luminous, radiant, shining and ingenious — all signify the word BRILLIANT! The event raises support for exhibitions, acquisitions and arts education programs at the Nerman Museum of Contemporary Art."
