Mindy A. Besaw is currently pursuing her doctorate in American art history at the University of Kansas. Prior to graduate school, Besaw was the curator of the Whitney Gallery of Western Art at the Buffalo Bill Historical Center in Cody, Wyoming, where she reinstalled the permanent collection galleries in 2009. She earned her MA in museum studies in art history at the University of Denver in 2002 and her BFA in Art History from the University of Illinois in 1997.
