David Cateforis is professor of art history at the University of Kansas, where he has taught American, modern, and contemporary art since 1992. He is the author of numerous exhibition reviews, exhibition catalogue essays, and scholarly articles, and his recent publications have focused on the contemporary Chinese artist Wenda Gu.
