February 10, 7-9 p.m. "Our Town" NEA Grant Panel Discussion Co-hosted by the Lawrence Cultural Arts Commission, LAC, and Downtown Lawrence Arts District, this discussion will focus on a possible application for an "Our Town" grant to support Lawrence's Final Fridays as “a creative place-making project that contributes to the livability of Lawrence and helps to place the arts at the core of the community” (the NEA’s goal for this community-based grant). The deadline to submit a statement of interest is March 1, 2011, so this is the only opportunity to gain community-wide support for this endeavor. To learn more, see the full instructions here; read about the NEA Chairman's visit (Rocco Landesman) to Kansas City in December where he discussed the grants here on Review.
