Kill to Hunt, Hunt to Kill
A four-day performance event by Jason Dixon, beginning with a live performance of The Truth August 20, 8 p.m. at the gallery, culminating with a tribal celebration/performance by musician and composer Hunter Long; from August 21 to 23, Tito the Hunter heads out to rural Missouri with only the tools crafted during the performance. Photographer Josh Ferdinand accompanies him to document the hunt until the camera runs out of memory. On August 24, Dixon returns to the gallery for a 7 p.m. potluck and barbecue to share his kills, stories, and experiences. "Guests who don't believe in the artist's hunting prowess are welcome to bring their own food, and even feed the artist." The performances will be streaming live on www.charlottestreet.org and on ustream.com.
