Raising Funds and Awareness for Review Publishing and Midwest Music Foundation

I wanted to thank everyone who came out to support Review Publishing and Midwest Music Foundation on Friday, July , at The Living Room. We raised a decent amount money for each of our organizations, and we also really enjoyed hearing the feedback you provided, both in person and through our comment cards. We had a fabulous turnout! The proprietors of the Living Room remarked that the event brought in the most new faces they have seen yet in the space, which is great news for them. I also noticed that there were many unfamiliar faces, so we hope this really gave the music and visual arts communities a chance to spark a dialogue. Guests seemed to have a fantastic time working on the live painting, which was raffled off at the end of the evening, along with a gift certificate for a tour of Holy-Field Vineyard and Winery, and won by John McClure. Additional surprise consolation prizes were raffled off. Guests walked away with a selection of vinyl records, including such gems as Chilling, Thrilling Sounds of the Haunted House, and Mickey & Becki's Love Song for Number TWO.

In between bands, folks wandered outside to taste the deliciously cool and refreshing flavors of snow cones offered by Fresher than Fresh Snow Cones, perused the information tables of Review Publishing and Midwest Music Foundation, bought posters or original artworks, and sampled the hors d'oeuvres provided by Midwest Music Foundation and Review staff.

We would like to thank the following artists who participated and bands that played, as well as all the individuals and businesses that donated their time, products or services to our event. We couldn't have done it without you!

If you would like to purchase any of the artists' posters that we were selling at the show, please visit our online store! You can purchase them through PayPal or come down to our office and purchase them in-person to avoid the shipping and handling fees. Plus, you get to see us in person and chat. We are usually in on Tuesdays and Thursdays, but please make an appointment and let us know you're coming to be sure.

Our next Review Publishing-sponsored event will be our release party for the 2010 print annual edition this fall. We will make an announcement as to the specific date in the coming months. We look forward to seeing you all there!

What a memorable evening that was. You all did such a wonderful job and I hear we did a wonderful job on the two kegs of beer as well. Please everyone attend the release date party this fall,it will be great fun.
