Art/Work: Creativity from the Cube
4th annual exhibition, in the Grand Hall of Union Station, 30 West Pershing Road, daily 7 a.m.-8 p.m. The Art/Work: Creativity from the Cube corporate art festival is organized by ArtsKC (Arts Council of Metropolitan Kansas City) to celebrate the artistic talents of people working for Kansas City's metro-area businesses. From January through May, participating companies (26 this year) hold arts competitions and select winners from visual, literary, and musical categories; these in-house winners move on to a metro-wide exhibition at Union Station (visual and literary) or an on-stage musical performance at Copaken Stage; awards are given for Best in Show and People's Choice during the public program August 6 at Copaken Stage. People's Choice awards are determined by votes: you can enter yours online here, July 31 through August 5.
