Not everything from summer is worth preserving. The heat, the humidity, the mosquitoes ... when those go by the wayside with the onset of fall, there are few who mourn the losses all that deeply.
But the flowers? Those are definitely worth keeping — and while Venus Auxier's preserved botanical art is on display during the hottest, muggiest part of the year, it still serves as an advance reminder of what we'll be missing this winter.

Thank you for stopping and enjoying the flowers! (and yes, the air conditioning as well!) My goal for my artwork is to bring about a higher level of awareness and appreciation for the natural world around us. In our fast-paced lives of technology, we tend not to see that which is there to help ground us in our day-to-day living. The Universe has bound man together with the nature that surrounds him. The two will forever be entwined.
