Of course Halloween is in the air, and First Friday is on the horizon — but first, Final Friday opens new exhibitions in St. Louis and celebrates new and continuing ones in Wichita; closer to Review's home, Final Friday brings a shadow puppet play and opening at telephonebooth; an exhibition of paintings by two artists with very different histories at OneVillage; and a few other surprises — including one-time events in Lawrence, Kansas.

First Sunday Family Fun Day features special, family-centered activities that kids and their families can enjoy for free! Bring kids ages 3-12, accompanied by an adult, and the whole group gets in free. Each month has a new theme that promotes creativity and visual literacy, while visitors have fun and learn about Kansas City and the legacy of R.A. Long.
November 1, noon-4 p.m. City Beautiful: Designing Your Own Park In 1890, landscape architect George Kessler designed Kansas City's unique parks-and-boulevard system, the north anchor of which can be seen from the Museum — Kessler Park (North Terrace Park / Cliff Drive) — and Gladstone Boulevard passes directly in front of Corinthian Hall to meet Benton Boulevard. Explore the “City Beautiful” movement in Kansas City by designing your own park and "growing a city" from settlement to metropolitan city, play games while learning, and watch a parks-themed film in the StoryTarium.
